【摘要】:WARNING—Thepossibilityofagas-airfuelexplosioninthetestchambershouldberecognized.Suitablesafeguardsconsistentwithsoundengineeringpracticeshouldbeinstalledinthepanelfuelsupplysystem.Theseshouldincludeatleastthefollowing:-agas-feedcut-offwhichisimmediatelyactivatedwhenairand/orgassupplyfail;-atemperaturesensororaflamedetectionunitdirectedatthepanelsurfacethatstopsfuelflowwhenthepanelflamegoesout.Theattentionofallpersonsconcernedwithmanagingandcarryingoutthistestisdrawntothefactthatfiretestingmaybehazardousandthatthereisapossibilitythattoxicand/orharmfulgasesmaybeevolvedduringthetest.Operationalhazardsmayalsoariseduringthetestingofspecimens,suchasthepossibilityofanexplosion,andduringthedisposaloftestresidues.Anassessmentofallthepotentialhazardsandriskstohealthshouldbemadeandsafetyprecautionsshouldbeidentifiedandprovided.Writtensafetyinstructionsshouldbeissued.Appropriatetrainingshouldbegiventorelevantpersonnel.Laboratorypersonnelshouldensurethattheyfollowwritteninstructionsatalltimes.ThispartofISO9239specifiesamethodforassessingthewind-opposedburningbehaviourandspreadofflameofhorizontallymountedflooringsexposedtoaheatfluxradiantgradientinatestchamber,whenignitedwithpilotflames.AnnexAgivesdetailsofassessingthesmokedevelopment,whenrequired.Thismethodisapplicabletoalltypesofflooring,e.g.textilecarpet,cork,wood,rubberandplasticscoveringsaswellascoatings.Resultsobtainedbythismethodreflecttheperformanceoftheflooring,includinganysubstrateifused.Modificationsofthebacking,bondingtoasubstrate,underlayorotherchangesoftheflooringmayaffecttestresults.ThispartofISO9239isapplicabletothemeasurementanddescriptionofthepropertiesofflooringsinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditions.Itshouldnotbeusedalonetodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofflooringsunderactualfireconditions.InformationontheprecisionofthetestmethodisgiveninAnnexB.
