【摘要】:Theseverityofabrasivewearinanysystemwilldependupontheabrasiveparticlesize,shapeandhardness,themagnitudeofthestressimposedbytheparticle,andthefrequencyofcontactoftheabrasiveparticle.Inthistestmethodtheseconditionsarestandardizedtodevelopauniformconditionofwearwhichhasbeenreferredtoasscratchingabrasion(1and2).Sincethetestmethoddoesnotattempttoduplicatealloftheprocessconditions(abrasivesize,shape,pressure,impactorcorrosiveelements),itshouldnotbeusedtopredicttheexactresistanceofagivenmaterialinaspecificenvironment.Thevalueofthetestmethodliesinpredictingtherankingofmaterialsinasimilarrelativeorderofmeritaswouldoccurinanabrasiveenvironment.Volumelossdataobtainedfromtestmaterialswhoselivesareunknowninaspecificabrasiveenvironmentmay,however,becomparedwithtestdataobtainedfromamaterialwhoselifeisknowninthesameenvironment.Thecomparisonwillprovideageneralindicationoftheworthoftheunknownmaterialsifabrasionisthepredominantfactorcausingdeteriorationofthematerials.1.1Thistestmethodcoverslaboratoryproceduresfordeterminingtheresistanceofmetallicmaterialstoscratchingabrasionbymeansofthewetsand/rubberwheeltest.Itistheintentofthisproceduretoprovidedatathatwillreproduciblyrankmaterialsintheirresistancetoscratchingabrasionunderaspecifiedsetofconditions.1.2Abrasiontestresultsarereportedasvolumelossincubicmillimeters.Materialsofhigherabrasionresistancewillhavealowervolumeloss.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Theseverityofabrasivewearinanysystemwilldependupontheabrasiveparticlesize,shapeandhardness,themagnitudeofthestressimposedbytheparticle,andthefrequencyofcontactoftheabrasiveparticle.Inthistestmethodtheseconditionsarestandardizedtodevelopauniformconditionofwearwhichhasbeenreferredtoasscratchingabrasion(1and2).Sincethetestmethoddoesnotattempttoduplicatealloftheprocessconditions(abrasivesize,shape,pressure,impactorcorrosiveelements),itshouldnotbeusedtopredicttheexactresistanceofagivenmaterialinaspecificenvironment.Thevalueofthetestmethodliesinpredictingtherankingofmaterialsinasimilarrelativeorderofmeritaswouldoccurinanabrasiveenvironment.Volumelossdataobtainedfromtestmaterialswhoselivesareunknowninaspecificabrasiveenvironmentmay,however,becomparedwithtestdataobtainedfromamaterialwhoselifeisknowninthesameenvironment.Thecomparisonwillprovideageneralindicationoftheworthoftheunknownmaterialsifabrasionisthepredominantfactorcausingdeteriorationofthematerials.1.1Thistestmethodcoverslaboratoryproceduresfordeterminingtheresistanceofmetallicmaterialstoscratchingabrasionbymeansofthewetsand/rubberwheeltest.Itistheintentofthisproceduretoprovidedatathatwillreproduciblyrankmaterialsintheirresistancetoscratchingabrasionunderaspecifiedsetofconditions.1.2Abrasiontestresultsarereportedasvolumelossincubicmillimeters.Materialsofhigherabrasionresistancewillhavealowervolumeloss.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
