【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesameansofcontrollingsmokeproductioninhomeheatingequipmenttoanacceptablelevel.Excessivesmokedensityadverselyaffectsefficiencybyheat-exchangerfouling.Therangeofsmokedensitiescoveredbythistestmethodisthatwhichhasbeenfoundparticularlypertinenttohome-heatingapplication.Itismoresensitivetosmallamountsofsmokethanseveralothersmoketestsasindicatedinthefollowingcomparison:1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheevaluationofsmokedensityinthefluegasesfromburningdistillatefuels.Itisintendedprimarilyforusewithhomeheatingequipmentburningkerosineorheatingoils.Itcanbeusedinthelaboratoryorinthefieldtocomparefuelsforcleanburningortocompareheatingequipment.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.2.1Arbitraryandrelativeunitsarealsoused.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
