【摘要】:1.1Thetestmethodsdescribedinthisstandardmeasurethelateraldeflectionofaverticalorinclineddeepfoundationwhensubjectedtolateralloading.Thesemethodsapplytoalldeepfoundations,referredtohereinas"pile(s),"thatfunctioninamannersimilartodrivenpilesorcastinplacepiles,regardlessoftheirmethodofinstallation,andmaybeusedfortestingsinglepilesorpilegroups.Thetestresultsmaynotrepresentthelong-termperformanceofadeepfoundation.1.2Thesetestmethodsprovideminimumrequirementsfortestingdeepfoundationsunderlateralload.Plans,specifications,provisions,orcombinationsthereofpreparedbyaqualifiedengineermayprovideadditionalrequirementsandproceduresasneededtosatisfytheobjectivesofaparticulartestprogram.Theengineerinresponsiblechargeofthefoundationdesign,referredtohereinastheengineer,shallapproveanydeviations,deletions,oradditionstotherequirementsofthesetestmethods.1.3Thesetestmethodsallowthefollowingtestprocedures:1.4Apparatusandprocedureshereindesignated"optional"mayproducedifferenttestresultsandmaybeusedonlywhenapprovedbytheengineer.Theword"shall"indicatesamandatoryprovision,andtheword"should"indicatesarecommendedoradvisoryprovision.Imperativesentencesindicatemandatoryprovisions.1.5Aqualifiedgeotechnicalengineershouldinterpretthetestresultsobtainedfromtheproceduresofthesetestmethodssoastopredicttheactualperformanceandadequacyofpilesusedintheconstructedfoundation.Seeforcommentsregardingsomeofthefactorsinfluencingtheinterpretationoftestresults.1.6Aqualifiedengineershalldesignandapproveallloadingapparatus,loadedmembers,supportframes,andtestprocedures.Thetextofthesetestmethodsreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthetestmethods.Thesetestmethodsalsoincludeillustrationsandappendicesintendedonlyforexplanatoryoradvisoryuse.1.7ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.8Thegravitationalsystemofinch-poundunitsisusedwhendealingwithinch-poundunits.Inthissystem,thepound(lbf)representsaunitofforce(weight),whiletheunitformassisslugs.Therationalizedslugunitisnotgiven,unlessdynamic(F=ma)calculationsareinvolved.1.9AllobservedandcalculatedvaluesshallconformtotheguidelinesforsignificantdigitsandroundingestablishedinPracticeD6026.1.10Themethodusedtospecifyhowdataarecollected,calculated,orrecordedinthesetestmethodsisnotdirectlyrelatedtotheaccuracytowhichthedatacanbeappliedindesignorotheruses,orboth.Howoneappliestheresultsobtainedusingthisstandardisbeyonditsscope.1.11ASTMInternationaltakesnopositionrespectingthevalidityofanypatentrightsassertedinconnectionwithanyitemmentionedinthisstandard.Usersofthisstandardareexpresslyadvisedthatdeterminationofthevalidityofanysuchpatentrights,andtheriskofinfringementofsuchrights,areentirelytheirownresponsibility.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
